MCC BUILDS HOPE SOIRÉE GUESTS OF HONOR
Sara Schiller & Jesse D'Elia
Sara Schiller
Sara’s daughter Sammy began MCC in 2012 when she was 5 years old. Whether presiding over MCC’s parent advisory committee, running NYC marathons or hosting the MCC Student Art Auction, Sara is an outstanding pillar of support for MCC. Recognizing the need for greater awareness and inclusivity, she is also the driving force behind various initiatives aimed at improving the educational and social experiences of neurodiverse children and fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance both within and outside the MCC community. We are proud and grateful to honor her with the MCC Community Leadership Award.
Jesse D'Elia
Jesse D'Elia was 6 years old when his younger brother Coby, then 4, started at MCC in 2012. Jesse and Coby's Grandmother, Alane Seidner, put her energy into raising money and awareness for MCC, a path which Jesse followed as he grew older. From volunteering as a Peer Buddy, to nominating and fundraising for MCC at the Trail's End Camp Sports-A-Thon, Jesse, now 17 and a senior at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, has proven to be a true champion of MCC. It is with gratitude and pride that we honor Jesse with the award named after his Grandmother – the MCC Alane Seidner Impact Award.
